About 480Lock™
480Lock is the first of its kind to securely lock three phase 480v connections to prevent unauthorized use and deadly electrocution.
LOCKABLE
On the job site, only electricians are allowed to connect, disconnect, and move three phase 480v power cables and connections. However, prior to 480LOCK, there was no way to ensure this. 480LOCK is a locking security device to secure 480v connections from unauthorized use. Electricians will be able to set their own code on our integrated combination locks, ensuring that they are the only ones who can disconnect/connect 480 connections.
HELPS PREVENT UNINTENDED RELEASE OF HAZARDOUS ENERGY
Often times in a workplace setting, 480 cables may be an interference or bother to a worker. Rather than call an electrician to come move the cables, the worker simply disconnects the 480 connection himself, moves it, and resumes work. This is a very dangerous and non-sanctioned practice that can be solved with 480LOCK. 480LOCK locks the connections together and prevents unauthorized workers from disconnecting a live connection, reducing the risk of workplace electrocution.
